A creamy, buttery delight with soft paneer cubes simmered in a rich tomato-based gravy, bursting with aromatic spices. Try this restaurant style gravy at home, detailed recipe is as follow.
Recipe
- In a kadai add oil, butter, some clove and cardamom pieces, saute this well
- Now add roughly chopped onions and cook until tender
- Then add few garlic pods and ginger pieces, saute this well again
- Now add roughly chopped tomatoes and cashews
- Cover and cook this mixture until tomatoes turn mushy
- Cool this mix and make a paste
- Cut paneer into cubes and keep it aside for later use
- Take a kadai, add ghee/oil along with butter, add bay leaves along with slit green chillies and let it infuse its flavor in the butter
- Now add finely chopped onions and let them get translucent
- Add turmeric, red chili and coriander and garam masala powder
- Let it simmer and add jaggery to balance the flavor
- Add water and adjust the consistency
- Finally add fresh cream and mix well
- Lastly add the paneer cubes and simmer until paneer is soft
- Garnish with some coriander leaves & cream
